WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA

Should you wish to take a break from the lake, here are some of our recommendations on places to visit:

St Malo beaches, Domfront medieval town, the famous Le Mans motor race, there are numerous cycle routes, an outdoor adventure centre for children, garden centres, brocantes, outdoor antiques markets, farmers’ markets, the archaeological site of La Table du Diable, the beautiful walks around La Fosse Arthour and the stunning waterfalls at Mortain-Bocage.

LOCAL AREA FACILITIES

The village, a 2 minute drive from the lake, has a newsagents, bakery (boulangerie), butchers, a small grocery shop and a restaurant/bar.  If you want a wider range of items we recommend Super U in Gorron, which is a 12 minute drive from the lake and has a petrol station.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Arrival time is no earlier than 2pm on your Saturday arrival date.

Departure time is no later than 10am.

We know you’ll be excited to get started but we ask you to keep to these time so that we can ensure the next guests arrive to a clean and tidy cottage, that their bait order is ready and that any lake maintenance can be done.

Bins are provided around the lake for your rubbish and empty bottles.  There are further recycling bins located in the car park for cardboard and plastics.  We will remove your rubbish and recycling for you but it will be easier for us if you can place your items in the correct bins provided.

No abuse to fish or staff will be tolerated.

Lastly, we have lovely French neighbours and we would ask our guests to be respectful of them.  We want everybody to have a great time but please be mindful of your impact.
